Syd Mead Study

For this first assignment, we had to study a painting by Syd Mead and break it down into simple shapes and shade it. This is the painting I decided to go with. 

First, I started with a very very rough sketch to figure out basic shapes and sizes. 

Afterwards, I cleaned the sketch and identified the basic shapes that make up the futuristic vehicle. 

I then drew the final sketch that includes more details. 

Finally, I shaded the image with a medium and dark grey, white highlights, and added the yellow light plus its reflections.
